Gluten Free

Well remember how Monday's are one of my favorite days. I go and meet with Kim, my health coach, and she has taken me off gluten. (now my doctor in NJ had this as his next step thinking I might have Celiac Disease) Let me tell you I really was nervous about this it means no bread so no bagels, no certain cereals, no noodles, no brownies, no cookies, no pancakes, no waffles, no crackers, no no no and more no's oh and no PIZZA. Basically anything with wheat! When you look up gluten you get A substance present in cereal grains, esp. wheat, that is responsible for the elastic texture of dough.

Most of you know that I tend to get sick at night and well its just been part of my life and don't really care enough to stop eating stuff that makes me sick. Well Kim convinced me, but it didn't take much I figured I just made a huge change by moving why not try this. PJ has been very helpful too she always makes sure that I always still have something to eat. Which by the way I can eat as many potatoes as I want to :).

So now it was time to go to the store and find some food that I can eat. Which meant trying new things. Hannah introduced me to these amazing granola bar thingys that I LOVE!

I found gluten free waffles. A couple of gluten free cereals that I can eat.
I just recently discovered the Chex One.
Which means I can make my own Chex mix.
I made puppy chow last Friday and it was yummy!!!

I even found some amazing chocolate chips cookies.
I was not a big fan of the gluten free pizza though. The rice noodles are not to bad either as long as they are mixed with something. I even found brownies that I am allowed to eat.

See not so bad what are you all worried about ;)

I also found a pizza crust, bread, and pancake mix that I am gonna try to make.

So needless to say today is my last trial day and we meet tonight to talk over how I feel. I do have to say I have not gotten sick once since I have been on this no gluten thing. I am even a little nervous to even go back to eating anything with gluten. It is hard but I have not gone hungry and there is always something for me to eat!

Friday!!

So ummm I do not have anything interesting to write today! This week has been pretty normal!!! I am excited that in 26 days I am leaving to go to Illinois! I am going to be spending Thanksgiving with my mom's sister my Aunt Donna, Uncle Dale, and then some of my cousins that are my AGE!!! I love all my NJ cousins I promise but sometimes I do wish that the cousins closer to my age were around more! But then this would not be as exciting!

Oh I had a routine doctor appointment on Monday and I needed some information from my father so I called his cell asked for my mom and then had her ask him :) He wanted me to mention that he helped me out so this is his mention that he helped me out!!!

Now back to my Illinois story. I will be staying with my cousin Sarah and her husband Andy and their 3 kids! Then Sarah and my other cousin Anna(my age) and I will be black Friday shopping!!!! So yes I am super excited... The last time I saw Sarah was about 10 years ago and then Anna was a little less then that but I am not sure when that was but this is the picture from that!!! The picture is not the best quality it is old!

Jonas Property.

Last Friday we took a trip to see the new property. Jim's parents were here from New Hampshire. Now the first time they took me to see it there was no path leading to the creek. Well I shouldn't say that because I was in the back with PJ and Jim was in front with a machete and 8 kids trailing him, by the time I went though there was a semi path. So we get to the creek and then have to cross it on two logs. Kids do it fine, the parentals do it fine, then there is me a nervous wreck. Needless to say that I did make it over. So we get over and we are walking even more into the woods and then it comes time to cross back. It is a huge jump just to get down. BUT before we do that us adults go and walk to the very back to the highway. So the kids go off and do their own thing while we are hike through the forest to the very back. It wasn't tooooo bad... Until we get back to that creak again. So Jim lunges across it and gets a log and throws it in and then PJ first and then me. Just so you all know I made it and was still completely dry. Jim did very well and it was a trusting game. He passed! So the Saturday before grammy and gumpy came they all went back (I stayed home) and they cut a real trail to the creek and it was MUCH easier to get to. This time we didn't cross it. Here are some pictures of the 31 acres....

I am standing about the center of the front of the property looking towards the back.

Now I am looking towards the road.
Across the street is a sub-development.

They call this their water tower because their property goes around it!

A fire house and police station are their neighbors.

Honey Run! (the creek)

They put rocks in to build a bridge to get across....

Hewitt and I..
Took this for Andrew they met and
were with each other for 24 hours
and are BFFs!

We drove around Scottsburg a little bit to explore then we went to pizza hut.
I had a nice yummy Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad :)

McChurch and Kayla

On Wednesday nights I go to McChurch and then usually after I get to skype with Kayla. She sent this picture to me in her new purple pj's. Aunt Cassie's favorite color. Our conversations are probably really funny to other people because I usually have head phones in and I am talking to my laptop. Which yes I do talk to my laptop even if no one is talking back to me and Jim usually makes fun of me for doing so! We missed our skype night last week so instead I skyped with my mom :) and was stuck talking to my dad! hahaha. Kayla and I did get to skype on Sunday though.

Time With The Girls

So I let the little girls put stickers on my face. Most you know I pretty much let kids do what they want with me. I let Indigo play with my hair and she has a blast just putting in a TON of pony tails. So one day I let Jade put stickers on my face and then Indigo joined in.

Jade has the straight hair and Indi has the curly!

Indian War Paint!

The next few photos are from our "Photo Shoot" by Indigo....

Indiana

So most of you know that I have moved to Indiana to live with the Jonases. I packed up my "little" car and Jr's suv. The night before I left Andrew had a surprise birthday/going away party at none other then the Beebe's house. Some of the girls and I "slept" in the basement. We went to "sleep" at 5:20ish am and my alarm went off at 6. Andrew and I were on the road by 6:45am. We arrived to the Jonases 6ish. The boys all unpacked my car and brought my stuff upstairs to my room. I didn't have to do any of it.

5 Days after I got here the entire family left for their family vacation. Which left me to milk the goats! They are crazy people. They knew better though and I was not alone nor did I really do much of the milking or anything with the goats really.

My days consist of working in the soap room. I can do postage, pulling, shipping orders. Make lip balms, lotions, and candles. And whatever else PJ throws at me haha :)

Mondays are one of my favorite days because after work I get to meet with Kim and then Hannah and I have a chance to hang out. Then I watch Dancing with the Stars with the family!

Wednesday are also another one of my favorite days because I go to McChurch aka McDonalds and Live Stream Faith Baptist Church in Jersey!

I am gonna try and keep up a blog so I can keep in touch with the mass rather then try and keep in touch with one on one its not as easy!

You can also see some of what is going on if you read the http://goatmilksoapers.com/ blog also!
